What additional “pre-opening” costs are involved
in opening a Dashing Diva?
In addition to paying the initial franchise
fee and the cost of the store build-out (which includes
construction, furniture, fixtures and equipment), you will
incur additional costs prior to opening
your store. Please review Item 7 of the UFOC.
These costs are likely to include:
Store Lease Deposit
– depending on the landlord, could equal
3 months rent.
Design Fee
– for an architect to design your store interior (based
on specs provided by Dashing Diva corporate office)
Store Signage
– usually not included in the construction quote
Opening Inventory
– you will need to purchase all of the Dashing Diva
retail and service products prior to opening
Grand Opening Advertising
– e.g., flyers, posters, postcards, local newspaper
ads, etc. to announce your store opening to the public
Pre-opening salaries
– for nail technicians, assistant managers, etc. while
they train
Travel and lodging expenses
Insurance
(i.e., comprehensive general liability insurance, worker’s
compensation and liability, etc.) – usually payable
quarterly (or semi-annually)
Utilities Deposit
Professional Fees
– for an attorney, accountant, bookkeeper
Additional Funds
– as a rule of thumb, we recommend having a “reserve”
of 3 months’ worth of operating expenses
